What a wonderful find! Dawn and John were delightful hosts the entire time I was there. They even went above and beyond offering a quick breakfast selection before an early half marathon run. The room was fantastic. The little details like the amazingly comfortable bed and wonderful linen really made the Jabberwock stand out. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and cheerful which helped make it a great place to stay.
There was a really friendly environment and it was made all the more so with delicious hors d'oerves and wine served in the evening with all the guests able to sit and chat together.

The gentle calm of the place. It seemed like a well kept 75 year-old elegant hotel. It is much newer and build to an older standard. The location is the best in Monterey. Without question, the best feature was the window seat looking out onto
the wonderful view of the ocean. We watched a range of seabirds and also
Sea Otters. The room was beautifully furnished and the bed was extremely
comfortable. Sitting in the comfortable arm chairs in front of the log
burning fire as the evening cooled added to the luxurious and romantic
atmosphere. The sound of the Ocean waves as we drifted off to sleep was
the best of all!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Monterey Bay Inn. Location was great - in between Fisherman's Warf and Cannery Row and the scenery was gorgeous. Loved the sound of the sea lions in the distance, too. Carpet in hallways needed cleaning, but our room was spacious and clean. Great value with the continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!

I forgot an iPhone charger after checkout. The front desk called when found by the cleaning staff and I was able to pick it up before leaving town.

to a double-queen room when I had originally booked a single queen

This was an older facility but our "cottage" had been remodeled and was very nice. Perfect for traveling with two children as there was two bedrooms, one with twin beds, one with a queen size. There was a very comfortable kitchen with new appliances but we stayed only the one night so it was not used. A good spot for a longer stay. The room was very clean.

Hotel is in a great part of the coast between LA and SF. The hotel was comfortable and within walking distance of the shops. We did drive to the old fisherman's wharf. But this was because we were out of time and tired. All part of the hotel were clean but we were a bit disappointed we could not do the laundry after 10 pm. Breakfast was good howev

Overall a good place to stay -
The hotel was good. Had a self service laundry. Some rooms have a chaise lounge which was big enough for our 11 year old to sleep on, but make sure you ask for one when you check in. The hotel is on the edge of town, but walking distance to Fishermans wharf. There is a free tram to Cannery row and the aquarium. Best place to eat - Rosines on Alverado street. HUGE portions of cake. Best breakfast - Denny's just across the road.

We have stayed at the Victorian Inn before and fell in love with the fabulous proximity to everything! We also enjoy the wine tasting in the afternoons. The breakfast has been expanded since we stayed last and it was a delightful surprise. Will stay again and again. We also tell friends about the hotel everytime someone says that they are going to Monterey!

I liked the arrangement of the hotel itself. Although it had three floors, each room was located around a corner, so it appeared separate from the others.
The location of this hotel is within a few blocks of Cannery Row and the Aquarium- which means everything was within walking distance. The transit lines were likewise. -

The lady who checked us in was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The complimentary happy hour was a good opportunity to meet others staying at the hotel and the ambiance was nice, we sat on a sofa by the fireplace. The staff were VERY friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast was excellent.
The room was totally updated.
The bathroom was updated and the shower/jaccuzi was fantastic!
The roof was a patio where you can sit and watch the ocean while sipping your drink.

We have stayed only 1 night, but enjoyed this pleasant stay! Excellent location (incl. local farmers' market down the street on Tuesday), beautiful historic architecture and relevant interior style, close public parking possibility, nearby convenience store, very friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast (spacious room, nice music, quiet atmosphere, simple but good food choice incl.fast oatmeal porridge, yoghurt, take-away tea/coffee)

It was beautiful. Very comfortable. I booked for a group of friends and was pleasently surprised at how nice it was. We really enjoyed our stay although it was only 1 night. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The gentlemen making the omletes on the morning of June 8th did a amazing job and was very interactive with us. Its not often you remember the cook.
