  The staff was the nicest group of people I have ever encountered in a hotel. Every single one of them went so far beyond the norm to ensure our stay was not just pleasant, but unforgettable. I was given a birthday hamper the moment they found out about the special occasion and we were also upgraded to a suite.   I liked the room. It was very comfortable. I liked the location for access to the D. C. area. The metro was very close so we could get to where we wanted to go quickly. We did find out that we should avoid the rush hour when traveling on the metro. We liked the breakfast and the social with the two drinks and then the evening meal that was availab... ce que les gens disent » le. The personnel that handled those amenities were very professional and quickly removed our plates as we finished. - This hotel was amazing! The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. No matter who it was whether the manager or a housekeeper they would take the time to say hello. The room was beautiful and the location was really great. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast they serve was really good as well. The front desk manager, zemy? I'm not sure of her name was exceedingly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I'll definitely be staying there again.

  Top stay for us in DC. Have been a number of times due to college student visits. This is the best hotel yet- in town for college graduation and all the hotel prices were very high. HGI was the best rate BUT also had great service and quiet room. Ideal location within a block of the red line metro- very easy to get around.
