  When we arrived we were allowed to check in two hours early, and were given the choice of two different rooms - that was very kind and we got a big room as a result. The location is pretty great as long as you don't mind a bit of walking, but that's the same across New York. A bit expensive, but again, that's just New York. Just two blocks away from Time Square. Unbeatable for this price. Plenty of foodshops around. The staff: the receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful (thanks Joey! ;-) + they can arrange transport to the airport, which was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back there on a next trip to NYC.

  Location is amazing, near Bryant Park, NY Public Library, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Empire State, etc. Also, there're a lot of shopping spots, restaurants and a very convenient Deli next door (too expensive though). We stayed in the Studio Apartment, one flight of stairs, next to a nail salon. Not a big deal for us, the apartment was clean and quiet, pretty - This was a great apartment at an excellent location, only four blocks from Time Square. Nice and quit with a window against the back. A lot of equipment in the kitchen, it was possible to cook all the meals there. It was a nice deli right down on the corner. I will defintly recommend this apartment to anyone, and I will stay here next time I go to NY.

  When I book a hotel in midtown Manhatten for under $200, I am happy with clean sheets, clean towels and a clean bathroom. I got all of this at Hotel 31. Staff - This is a lovely small hotel at a very convenient and perfectly safe location. It really is at the center - so I walked most of the sightseeing attractions nearby. The staff is very friendly, organized and always available. I stayed in a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was always free and clean when I wanted to use it. My bed was big enough and very comfortable and there was a sink in the room so I could wash my face and teeth without needing to go to the bathroom. My room was cleane
