  I have stayed in around 20 different yha hostels in the world and this is the best I have ever stayed in. Excellent security ( all points of entry are covered including your dormitory!! Believe me, not all hostels offer that). So if you are looking for company, you are bound to - Located a short walk to upper broadway which is jam packed full of everything u could ask for. Everything !! short walk to the #1 subway line which takes u all the way down to battery park. There are housing projects directly behind thebuilding, but there was no trouble at all & that just added to the whole atmosphere of staying in ny. They put on several events on each day & night so u get to meet a lot of other travelers & explore in a group. There is an outlet & little shelf

  It was basically okay. The stuff were friendly. - Located close to subway, in a nice neighborhood, oppertunity of storing labtops, passports and keys at the informationdesk. Some of the staff was very helpfull. The place is alright to stay at, if the only time you spend the room, is when sleeping.

  I booked a queen single room to share the evenings with a girlfriend. Place was not the easiest to find and from the outside really did not look great. However, inside was clean and quiet. Staff are not around much and I didn't mind. I was very happy with my private room as it was clean, quiet and comfortable.   The hostel made solo traveller feels at ease. It is near the metro station and make the travelling easier. The hostel staff is friendly. Staying in the shared room in the hostel was overall a pleasant experience as this was my first time. It's more economical.
