Walking distance (5 mins) to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. We were only in town to see a concert and this hotel was a great place to stay the night afterwards. It's not really fancy, or spacious, but it's good place to rest your head for a great price. The staff was friendly as well. -

There is no negative thing i would mention.
The room was new and clean. Breakfest ok. Really good position of the hotel is just perfect (about 10min to the Town Hall)! The park place is small but all the guests found a place while we were there.
And finally yes, there are some homeless people arround the hotel, but we didn´t feel uncomfortable or

We would recommend this hotel mainly for young people and travellers. -

A manager was great, he told lots of things about the city, answered all the questions, helped a lot to organise the following travel. The location is great for those who want to live in the centre of the city. It was quite quiet. -

Good and a clean place for the money.
The staff were courteous and it is a simple and an inexpensive place to stay if you want something on a low budget. Walking distance to movies, and great ethnic asian cuisine. -
I liked that is was pet friendly at no extra charge. Once we got the
handicapped room, it was perfect. The beds were comfortable.

This is my second stay in less than 6 months. You can't beat the price and the location. There is a parking garage right next door with super overnight rates. The Muni bus stop is right in front of the hotel. You're a couple of blocks from Union Square. This is a budget hotel so don't expect "Five Star Hilton Accomodations". You'll have money for

It was a no frills hotel but comfortable for the most part. The shower was great - roomy, plenty of hot water. Central location adjacent to parking lot, a few blocks from BART. The fridge worked well. Never tried the microwave.

The hotel is close to the center. Personnel was helpfull. Equipment of the room was very good (refrigerator, microwave oven, TV, WiFi internet connection, etc.). - It was within walking distance of where I needed to go.

Pacific Heights Inn is a true gem. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times - in 1999, 2004 and now in 2013 and each time the place was just right!It's not a "fancy place" but it's not a dive at all. Quaint and comfortable.

I booked this hotel for a quick two day trip to see San Francisco with
our kids based on the good price compared to nearby hotels, not really
expecting much in the way of facilities. My wife even encouraged me to
reconsider after out of fear it would not be clean or safe. I'm

Good budget-friendly hotel. We stayed for 2 days & walked or bussed
the whole time. Very central location to everything. We walked from the
hotel to Pier 39/Fisherman's Warf, Chinatown, North Beach, Union
Square, then would take the bus back. We did this with a 5 year old
& a 2 year old. The rooms were clean & tidy with plenty of
space. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location - can walk to Marina, Fort Mason, Fishermann's Wharf,
Pier 39, Coit Tower, crookedest street near the bus stop 28 to the
Golden Gate Bridge. Quiet and pleasant place to walk alone even at
night, near the Marina and Fort Mason where there are always people
playing sports and running. Has a Safeway supermarket where we buy food
ready. Staff - Mei was very friendly and helpful and gave valuable tips

It looks a bit run down on the outside, but inside the rooms have been renovated and are very nice indeed: meticulously clean, very comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in ours, very handy. Spotless bathroom. Free (ample) parking in SF is invaluable. Location is very good too, just a very short walk off the lively Union street, convenient for buses... Overall, definitely recommended, we'll stay there again if we're ever in the area.
