Maureen was so friendly, warm and inviting we just did not want to leave.

It's the best place I have stayed ever. Very kind and thoughtful staff. We brought our 1.5 years old for a leisure weekend. When we arrived the room, toys and a trolley have been prepared for her. The breakfast was wonderful. My wife and my daughter were really happy during the stay. Best place ever!

Roz and Garry made my husband and I feel very welcome.The break was to celebrate my 50th birthday,we couldn't have chosen a better place.The hotel was very clean,bed was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing,good value for money.We will go back again . - They are very friendly and you will be really enjoy to stay in this guest house.

More than anything, the hosts. The most helpful and friendliest I have ever met. Even if the appartment had been less than perfect (which it wasn't) it wouldn't have mattered because Graham & Janett are just so nice ! Very clean shower ! Spacious, good location, great value for money and well equiped. -

The staff made us feel very welcome and worked very hard. Nothing was too much trouble.The food was very good and our compliment to the Chef in this regard bearing in mind the small kitchen he has to work in.Overall a very good experience and it wont be long before we return

Great welcome and comfortable room. Exceptionally good breakfasts - well cooked and served. Good attention to detail. Very short walk along the road to Windermere shops and restaurants. The 7 pound bus will take you to the lakes - stops at end of road. We went up to Grasmere to see Dove Cottage, Wordsworth's beloved home. We asked about doing some washing and it was done overnight. Loved everything about our stay here. Really friendly and helpful staff who are all a credit to the hotel. Room had great view across to the lake. Large comfy bed, loads of storage space, hot and powerful shower, huge bath towels and more. Would definitely recommend evening meal at hotel. Food cooked to order so served fresh and hot. Ian was a very good host, he was friendly and informative and easy to talk to. This stay was made more enjoyable with his personal touch.
He prepared delightful English & Vegetarian breakfasts for us. We loved his mushrooms and coffee.
The room is small but cosy. This isn't a luxury hotel so for the price we paid, it is great value-for-money.
