  a superbly run - family run hotel..a warm welcome from all the staff..a full continental breakfast each morning with fresh coffee, - wonderful ! The rooms were immaculate as was the rest of the hotel. I would definately recommend any length of stay at ' Meadfoot Bay ' 5 star in my opinion

  The host was welcoming and friendly. The information pack was useful. The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable and pretty with tv, tea and coffee facilities and a mini fridge. The breakfast offered a variety of choices - cooked breakfasts, cereals, fruit, toasts, jams etc. We travelled by car and the hotel had parking facilities.   Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. The breakfast selection was amongst the best I have ever had, can you believe they even make their own bread and yogurt! Both of which were simply delicious. I have travelled widely in the UK and if every BandB I stayed in was a good as this I would be a very h... ce que les gens disent » appy woman.   Annette and Ian couldn't do enough for us, the attention to detail in the room was impeccable. We had everything we could possibly want from advise on to where to go, down to the daily chocolate left on our pillows! The whole Hotel was spotless! We couldn't have asked for more. It was a pleasant stay, starting with a warm welcome, a lot of useful ideas for activities, very clean rooms, famous garden, to stay for a drink; just perfect. If we come again to Torquay we will stay there for sure. We can only recommend this hotel.

I hope we can come back there and I will recommend this place to my friends.

  I can't praise my stay enough. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. The breakfast was more than adequate and I would have no reservation in recommending this brilliant B&B - I could fault nothing with regards to Ashurst Lodge, Torquay. Greeted on arrival, shown to our room. Had everything we needed for a night away.
