  The location was perfect! We went for a concert, literally a 5 minute walk to the arena, a 5 minute walk to the shopping centre and the Christmas market was down the road. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Parking was also perfect as it was cheap and right opposite the hotel. They helped me with printing business documents, getting wi-fi access and even lent me a sewing kit! They also gave me extra tea and coffee and advised me on getting a taxi. I was impressed by how they helped other customers - someone wanted a Blackberry charger and they went out of their way to find one. The staff were excellent - friendly and professional.

  The hotel was excellent value for money. Comparing it to a travel lodge which we all know as the budget hotel. You get so much more for the same money. The room and hotel was warm and clean, the bed was memory foam so comfort was guaranteed, no rogue springs giving you acupuncture in the night! And no sinking 1foot deep into the middle of the bed.... ce que les gens disent » The room was en suite, and the shower was nice and powerful. Provided in the bathroom was, shower gel, soap and conditioner. 2x hand towels and 2x no - The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very professional and friendly. The breakfast is included in your room rate and cant be faulted. It was delicious and is cooked to order so is really fresh. We had dinner there both nights of our stay and the food was excellent, like a gourmet restaurant, and good value for money. My daughter is a coeliac and there was no problem for them to make her something gluten free. Thankyou Mansfield Lodge Hotel for a great stay.

  A courtyard room which was spacious, very clean and a lovely big bathroom which included a bath as well as a shower. We had booked a double room only that morning and a lady very kindly rung us to say there was a problem with the heating so would a twin room be alright, which we accepted. Really friendly staff and a nice local pub which unfortunately wasn't doing food the night we visited. Apparen - The Lord Nelson was a great place to stay with friendly, helpful staff and the food was lovely. We couldnt finish the evening meals or the breakfast despite the high standard.
