We were delighted with our stay, finding the location excellent for exploring Hereford and surrounding towns. The hotel was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and provided a wonderful breakfast. Staff were unbelievably friendly and accomodating. Went way beyond job descriptions to help us, including opening breakfast early so that we could leave on time. They also printed out maps, descriptions, etc. - Spacious bedroom, well equipped with a terrific river view. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food and an interesting menu.

This is our second residential stay. The managers are new - apparently a husband and wife team - and I get the impression that they know their business and are taking this place very seriously.

We stayed in the family room (Room 5) which had 3 bedrooms: I double, I
twin and 1 single, so plenty of room for a family of 5. It was also in
the main building at the top, so you get some nice views.
The shower in this room was really great. I mean, really great! Hot, powerful with nice shower gel and shampoo too. I know, it sounds weird commenting on the shower, but it really was awesome! I'm gonna book in here on my return from Glastonbury next year just so I can have a proper wash and scrub

The owners were really welcoming and helpful. Helped with the bags and hung up my still damp jacket that I had to wear to the wedding I was going to!!!! Breakfast was lovely and again nothing too much trouble. Really lovely feeling to the place, bedrooms were nicely furnished and beds really comfortable. Really nice place and good value.

Lovely old pub with history and character in droves. For those benefits you put up with the pub disadvantages of being noisy in the evenings. Super good value, very friendly staff. I would say homely rather than luxury. But at a tenth of a normal luxury hotel price that is fine by me! -
