Fantastic view from bedroom . Friendly welcome and service , large comfortable dining room with lovely view . Ate dinner there both nights , very good standard of food and very friendly , but efficient service in the restaurant . Breakfast was very good also . We would very happily visit again . -

Great location, good price, friendly staff, great leisure facilities,lovely modern room with some character. Didn't eat here so cannotcomment about food but menu and bar looked good. - Staff were welcoming, helpful and the food was fantastic and above all the bed was really comfortable. Would heartily recommend.

I found the staff to be very friendly without being fussy. The rooms are excellent and I can say this with experience as I have stayed on numerous occasions. The food is excellent. The hotel is located just outside Abergavenny good views of the countryside. I will be back ( If you are not full)

The guesthouse although old added to the ambience of the building. The proprietor could not have been more friendly, courteous and helpful he was a lovely man. The rooms were clean and all you needed for your stay. The breakfast perfect again excellent value and you couldnt have got better in a first class hotel. Will stay there again should I have to stay in Newport.

People complained about food taking long to be served. We dont think it was that long. The kitchen cater to several venues - lounge, bar and main dining room, so naturally will be bit stretched. But we thought the members of staff have done stirling

Value for money accommodation with excellent decor, comfortable bedroom, newly refurnished and sparkling clean bathroom WITH quilted loo paper, good toiletries and soft fluffy towel.
Fab breakfast included in the price too.
Also a great place to dine in the evenings, staff were great.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, Paul the Bar Supervisor particularly going the extra yard on more than one occasion. The huge beds are also fantastic and hugely comfortable. This was our second stay as my partner's Mother suffered a serious illness recently and we are sure that over the coming weeks, during her (hopeful) full recover

The hotel is well located being just off the M4. Being well glazed, you do not hear any traffic noise. The room was quite spacious and the shower was amazing. As ever it met every expectation - £98 for 2 nights b+b - talk about good value - 5th time - room 328 - double bed - comfy quiet and efficient - puts a lot of more expensive hotels to shame - easy to get to from M4 - easy to get Magor with its supermarket 2 good pubs + Indian fusion plus take-always - went flower show in Cardiff - easy peasy - would stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend - what more can be said!!!!!!
