The staff were exceptional in every manner. Each one we spoke to were very polite and accomodating, especially when booking out as we were leaving at 6am the next morning and they prepared a fantastic breakfast which was delivered 30mins before we departed at 5:30am. The owners were both extremely helpful and friendly.
We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. Our room was just as the owner described and had views to die for.

Warm welcome from the staff and landlord. Bar staff, waiters seemed part of a warm team enjoying their jobs. The pub/hotel is pet friendly. We had our medium sized, well-behaved dog in the bedroom, and in breakfast with us one day. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary. Good walks nearby, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, regular train service to local stations north and south.

Excellent. The Staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. The Hotel was spotlessly clean, our room light and airy. - Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Friendly staff and a lovely room with a fantastic view. No complaints!

Cheerful, helpful staff. High quality, comfortable room with attention to detail. As we are both vegetarian we were delighted to discover that the restaurant had a separate and varied vegetarian menu and were able to accommodate us as a late booking. The hotel was in a lovely setting in the select village of Wetheral, close to the city of Carlisle. Lovely walks by the river Eden, just minutes away and lots of history in the nearby St. Constantine's cell and the English Heritage abbey gatehouse. Facilities were great - used the swimming pool every day. Staff very friendly and helpful. We got upgraded which was very nice. The hotel had a good atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Restaurant attatched did good food and service was with a smile. - Very reasonable price and good service!!! Very confortable!!!
