  Hazel was the perfect hostess. Nothing was a trouble, great advice on local walks etc, including maps & notes ( prepared by hotel). Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order. Room lovely. We stayed in room 1, in main building, great aspect, opened on to balcony with access to garden. Lovely guest lounge & bar area. Superb stay in tranquil g... ce que les gens disent » arden setting. And to top it off, the evening meals were outstanding, presentation & service amazing, new menu each night, with at least two fish - The service was superb and nothing was too much trouble. For example -asked for warm milk for coffee on first morning and this choice was remembered each succeeding morning. Local walks were helpfully printed for us. Both my wife and myself remarked that there was no cooking smell at mealtimes. The room was spotlessly maintained each day and used tea and coffee sachets replaced with same. We ate twice in the restaurant, the first time being for our 50th wedding anniversary and enjoyed beautiful

  The skill of the staff was immediately apparent as we arrived and our suitcases were quickly delivered to our room without fuss whilst we checked in. Unobtrusive yet always there is the hallmark here and we were waited on with charm and humour throughout our stay. Food is also outstanding so it's hard to imagi - The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and courteous during our stay. From the moment we entered the hotel they treated us like very special guests on a very special occasion.   The whole friendly atmosphere was very reasurring and comforting. We enjoyed the company and the surroundings and ease of travelling to otehr centres and scenic spots. The food at The Beacon was superb, and I have to say the best scrambled eggs with mushrooms that we had any where in the UK while travelling. Delicious.   I thought the staff at Beachfield were very friendly and welcoming, and had a comfortable and relaxing stay there. The lounge/bar area was a nice place to sit and chill out with a drink, and the breakfast and service was really very good indeed.   The Hotel is within walking distance of the centre of the town, but far enough out to be quiet. I enjoyed my first stay there so much, Ive revisited 3 years in a row. Although I havent made use of all the facilities, they do have their own laundry, indoor and outdoor swimming pools.   The staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome and at home. Our room was amazing! Suite 1 has a four poster bed and a roll top bath in the bedroom with Jack & Jill handbasins....so much space. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice and plenty of it. I would - Excellent Hotel, The Staff were excellent always willing to help, friendly and went the extra mile to help us on anything we needed. The Hotel was clean, easy access to shops and pretty well priced for food and drinks considering it was a hotel. Overall 5/5 we came all the way down from Scotland and couldn't of asked for a better stay! If the manager see's this give the ladies/guys a bonus

  The hotel has a fine location on a height on the outskirts of St. Ives, reached by a very narrow driveway. Our room had a spectacular view over the coast and town. It was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel makes it a good base for walking along the North Cornish coastal path. We would certainly return to the Ga - Everything. It has a lovely relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I would describe our stay there as a five star experience from a three star hotel. Whilst it may not be the cheapest place to stay, you gets what you pay for and with this hotel you get a lot. St Ives is a magical place to stay and this hotel just is the icing on the cake.

  We stayed for a two nights, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the staff we very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and a good size, the same applies to the bathroom. the facilities were excellent and a very good beakfast that set us up for the day. The hotel is situated within a short walk to both the town centre and beaches..
