Stellar, friendly, helpful hosts (thanks Mark & Jan!), fab room with stain glass window and breath-taking view of the sea and promenade, Mark's Scottish Breakfast utterly delicious, lovely attention to detail including snifter of sherry, great location next door to beautiful ruin (Dunollie Castle) we will come back. Chief highlight of our three week Scottish tour was Oban in general and the Barriemore in particular.

stay but had the use of a seperate shower which was not ideal as I had

Liked everything about this place. It was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent - this was the only b&b that did not have separate breakfast tables and it was great because it was a good opportunity to interact with other guests. Kirsty was an excellent host.

A real find. Wonderful; building sympathetically restored. Staff friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and clearly proud of their surroundings. Our room (no. 2) was lovely, contemporary furnishings complimenting the period features very well indeed. Bathroom a little small, but, given the building's constraints, this was entirely understandable.

Stopped over night after travelling on a ferry most of the day. I

Staff were very friendly and looked after our luggage, as we arrived too early. We then went to Inverary and looked around the castle. They even took the bags upstairs before we came back. Room was quirky and lovely. Bathroom too. Breakfast had cereal, fruit, full cooked Scottish breakfast, toast and fish. Plenty to eat. Nice view from restaurant. Also have garden to sit in.

with garden view, so you have a little house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen
and living room, washing machine, micro wave, free wifi. Owners are very
friendly, breakfast in their house was great. Plenty of tips to go and
explore the country. Close to the beach, 15 min walk. Close to Oban, 10
miles, 15 min drive.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night with my wife and another couple
& found that it ticked all the boxes, Clean, Tidy, and the
proprietors both Roger & Lori were helpful & friendly. They
have put a lot of hard work in bringing a shell of a property back to
life again. The hotel is situated in a lovely spot along side the
harbour inlet. I will be using this hotel in the future when in that
area on business from now on.

Very clean and spacious! Guests mainly in their 50s (like me) so ideal place to stay! Meals cooked on the premises and generous portions. Quiet hostel so if you want to party _ better go to the backpackers down the road! -

We had a twin room with a massive bathroom, and heaters that made it cosy. The lounge is just great - a big kitchen to cook in or make pots of tea. The kitchen facilities so we were able to prepare sandwiches for the day out and also meant we could keep eating costs down by preparing an evening meal. Good to meet interesting people from different countries in the communal lounge area. Comfortable lounge area, well stocked fridge for continental breakfast and good facilities for the use of everyone.
