If you stand in front of the house, our room is on second floor to the
right. It’s small, but made us feel very good and romantic. The view
from our room is excellent. To sit in the window alcove with best
friend, good book and a gt – excellent! The breakfast was good. The
staff is nice. Bed and bed lamps is good. -

cooked is probably the best you'll get in Scotland. View of the
Cobbler from the front door & front bedrooms. If you are there to
climb it then ask for these rooms on booking.

The welcoming staff. Village location close to the sea. Good slection at
breakfast time to cater for all needs. Room was well appointed and clean
although a little cramped. Shower in the room did not work during my
stay but had the use of a seperate shower which was not ideal as I had
paid for a en-suite room. The staff at the B&B tried their

Liked everything about this place. It was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent - this was the only b&b that did not have separate breakfast tables and it was great because it was a good opportunity to interact with other guests. Kirsty was an excellent host.

unit at Hawthorne Cottages (May 5-6) so much that the one rainy day we
were there, we just relaxed, read and enjoyed watching the field of

Very nice stay in Hawthorn Cottage for 3 nights, we booked the cottage
with garden view, so you have a little house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen
and living room, washing machine, micro wave, free wifi. Owners are very
friendly, breakfast in their house was great. Plenty of tips to go and
explore the country. Close to the beach, 15 min walk. Close to Oban, 10
miles, 15 min drive.

Lorna (the owner) was very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. We were asked what time we would like our Breakfast instead of rushing like in some other places. Was the first time I staid in a Guest house and was not disappointed.

We stayed here for one night taking 2 rooms and enjoyed our stay here.
We had 2 rooms, one of which was a good size, had an excellent tv and
had good views of the loch. The other room was slightly disappointing as
there were no bedside tables and the room was next to the road which
meant it was noisy. I would therefore say that not all of the room

The staff were extremely welcoming. the rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. The ensuite was imaculate and the shower powerful. The view from room 7 was simply breathtaking. There was a smart TV in the room too, which was an added bonus, with a very wide choice of channels and perfect picture. The breakfast was the best we had in Scotland.

Loved this guest house, room was gorgeous and with a panoramic view high above Oban, and even binoculars supplied. Carolyn the owner had thought of everything to could need in the room, even a sewing kit!! She also gave us takeaway breakfast which was great as we were on an early ferry to Mull. Excellent nights stay and look forward to returning.

Lovely B&B and our rooms had a fantastic view over Oban and the coast (what a sunset!). The staff were very nice and the rooms were clean and beautiful. We loved all the little attentions in the room (biscuits, sweets, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, shoe shine, sowing kit, etc. - far beyond what is typically found in a B&B!)
