  I booked the hotel mainly because of its proximity to the venue for a college reunion dinner. A spacious free carpark in the centre of Oxford was an added bonus. The conversion from the old Barclays Bank has been carried out sympathetically and we had a spacious room for the night. Ne - The staff welcomed us back for our 1st wedding anniversary with their friendly, courteus mannerm and a bottle of champagne in the room- we first stayed at The Old Bank last year ,having just got married, and they made our trip extra special by upgrading our room and again giving us champagne. It's the little touches that make it so special! we will be back every anniversary!

  Great knowledgeable staff available 24h; own cooking facilities to guests was a fantastic plus (incl. everything from fridges/freezer and cooker/ovens to pots/pants and plates/mugs/utensils)! Clean and neat decor, 2min walk from the trainstation and 5min walk from city centre so great location; wifi in the hall; different rooms for different uses ... ce que les gens disent » such as a library, hall with wifi and tv, biljards-room, back garden with terrace, kitchen and breakfrast rooms; drinks and snacks and anything you mi - This YHA is excellent. The Staff go the extra mile - they're most helpful and informative. Louise and Rodrigo (Staff) were especially helpful to my sister who needed a comfortable night, and they went out of their way to ensure this. The YHA is beautifully designed. One wishes others had a Library, and such a neat and accessible garden - altogether a sanctuary next to the Station! Great value and memorable experience. Thank you very much.

  very friendly efficient staff. Clean room. Very good breakfast. Good value - Staff pleasant, and the lady who greeted us was very helpful in discovering information for us, giving us the fresh milk requested in ample quantity and ordering us a taxi. Car park very useful. Location good.

Parking place - The Lakeside was well located in Oxford---within walking distance to most of the colleges, museum, etc., but outside of the hustle and bustle of Oxford proper, so was a bit more quiet. The room was very comfortable; breakfast was varied and generous. Really appreciated the central heating in the mornings and evenings and the exceptionally hot shower ! Close to city centre. We are in our 70sand we could walk there in 10 mins.

  Di was very welcoming. I arrived 2 hours early but was shown to my room straight away. I could leave my car in the drive. She gave me a lift into the town centre which was a great help. I felt more like a member of the family than a paying guest. Everything in the house was clean and comfortable. A really lovely place to stay.   I stayed a night before an interview. Carol, the landlady/ manager is very friendly, exactly the lovely hallmark character of this B&B as described by others on TripAdvisor. Friendly welcome, lovely room, comfortable and clean. It's next to Abingdon road so obviously you can hear some traffic but not disturbing. The breakfast was ready at 8am when I said I would have it and served warm in a clean and homel - I liked absolutely everything about Cornerways Guest House. Carol, the landlady was so warm, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Her attention to detail shows that she genuinely loves what she does. She gave us good advice and recommendations and helped make our whole visit a delightful experience. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. We booked 2 nights but enjoyed it so much we had to stay a third night.
