  Location, cleanliness and spaciousness of the apartment very impressive. Having stayed in holiday apartments before, it's rare to have such large separate living / dining rooms and kitchens. I am 6ft. 1in. tall and had no difficulties. - the penthouse apartment was really nicely decorated with attention to detail shown in the vases and pictures on the walls, and it had a lovely comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. we particularly enjoyed the jaccuzzi bath and the under floor heating which really made a difference in the bathroom

  Owners Michael and Fiona were an absolute delight, nothing too much trouble. Fiona even produced some rice cakes for my non-wheat-eating partner at breakfast, and Michael dropped us off in town himself when we asked about taxis. Thanks again, Michael. Loved the lion in the garden and the bird in our room (metalwork sculptures, not real!). - We were at a wedding nearby so popped over to quickly check in between events! We received a warm welcome on arrival and our room felt homely and clean. Very comfortable bed with loads of pillows and bedding good quality. Excellent breakfast next day, service very good. Fiona and Mike are a lovely couple who quickly make you feel at home. We would happily recommend Hawthorn Farm to others.

  Very friendly owners. Gave us a jug of fresh milk as soon as we arrived as we wanted a cup of tea in our room (even though the usual portions of milk were provided). They also kindly chilled the bottle of champagne that we had brought for a little celebration, and provided us with champagne glasses. The bread was from a local bakers and, therefore, nicer than your usual B & B toast. They were abl - Both Elizabeth and Tim were very helpful, even though we had a twin room and two very big dogs to accommodate!!! They provided dog chews, maps for walking, and a wonderful choice of local produce for breakfast!! The room was very clean and comfortable, but possibly a little tight on space for two and two dogs; more to do with us than the Manse! The short walk from town centre, and the train station made it perfect for us.
