  Amazing! I didn't know what to expect from the hotel or the location. What a great surprise. The Lake District, the Village of Grasmere and the Waterside hotel were great!. The hotel was spotless, great staff, room was fantastic. Amenities were great in the room and in the hotel. The big suprise was the food at the hotel. Breakfast was good,... ce que les gens disent » but dinner was absolutely fantastic!! - The peace and quiet in the gardens and the excellent breakfasts.thestaff were very friendly and helpful.this is the second time we havestayed here and we have enjoyed both stays.we would'nt hesitate to stayagain if we could get a good deal like the one we have just had.

  Cheerful, helpful staff. High quality, comfortable room with attention to detail. As we are both vegetarian we were delighted to discover that the restaurant had a separate and varied vegetarian menu and were able to accommodate us as a late booking. We had a lovely room (not large) but overlooking the river which was a bonus. Staff were very pleasant. Good breakfast with a lot of options but we didn't eat at the hotel for dinner as we considered it too expensive.
