  On our arrival and departure of the hotel we found the staff very pleasant and helpful. Our room was located at the back of the hotel on the 3rd floor. The room key / card was a little tricky at first to use but after some visual instruction from the hotel staff found it ok to use, (just need to get the card in the correct position for the scanner... ce que les gens disent » to work).   Kensington is a very good part of London to stay for a short break. There are of couple of lovely restaurants in the neighborhood, but you have to take a closer look at the menu before you enter, because prices are very different and high prices do not guarantee a good meal. Restaurants we visited: Sporano's is a very good restaurant if you like Italian food besides pizza and - We benefitted from a very special deal due to refurbishment. The price was superb for the location and the room on the 7th floor was so quiet. It was ideal for exploring this end of London. The seating areas in the foyer were wonderfully relaxing, especially on a wet morning. It was so near the Metro and yet, so peaceful. Plenty of shops and cafes, nearby. Spotlessly clean, lovely bed and cosy and warm.
