  From the moment we arrived we were given a warm, cheerful and friendly welcome. Our room was extremely comfortable and well presented, and was equally well presented every eve - it was our second stay we like the tastefully decorated rooms which are very clean and have good facilities such as Wi-Fi flat screen tv and good quality coffee. the staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant food is excellent and breakfast menu provides a good variety. I particularly liked the eggs benedict. The inglenook fire place in the bar gives a cosy feel on chilly winter days.

  We were totally surprised with our room (or rather suite) with four poster bed and complete lounge suite. The room was comfortable and very quiet. We ate in Jasons Carvery and were astonished by the very generous proportions. Then enjoying 'Lite bites' in the lounge, found the generrous proportions again. Having said this, the bathroom was tired and would enjoy refurbishment. - It is very quirky- we stayed in the soon to be renovated part. What a shame, this is vintage 70s and should be separately preserved. We were first offered a modernized room in the "chateau", but while very nice, this was quite generic like all other hotel rooms now seem to be. We had drinks in the grounds, very Downton Abbey. Staff efficient and friendly, breakfast ample.

  What a chef!! Brilliant bar, relaxing comfortable hotel in a tranquil setting. Great communications for working and ample parking. Just the place to relax and unwind after a long busy day. Nice gardens to the rear, great charm and character tastefully decorated with air of the late 20's hovering in the atmosphere. Hotel lounge and restaurant has been refurbished and they are completing the last floor of rooms shortly. We stayed in one of the classic rooms not yet refurbished, but was still very pleasant. Will definitely be back

  Stayed in Room 6. Comfortable and warm, proper hair dryer, no noise in the night from the pub or other guests. Plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely cooked breakfast in with the very reasonable price. - Staff are friendly and helpfull The restaurant offers a comprehensive selection of meals and is excellent value for money on the 2 for 1 deal

  Everything, friendly and accommodating, the Hayloft is exceptionally clean and luxurious cannot fault it. The breakfast was fantastic with a lovely fresh fruit platter that just had about every fruit on it! Amazing.
