The Auld Cairn was being worked on when we arrived the worker let us in, our room was clean and comfortable, we ate next door the Merchant's place and the food and service was amaxing! The window in our room faced the road and the transport trucks went by all night, the other window faced the back and the garden view, was not so nice, im sure with

Lovely room. Very clean an comfortable. Lovely views from our room. Watched ferries pass at night. Quiet too. Had breakfast next door at the merchants house whose owners couldn't do enough. Lovely place too and both very friendly. I highly recommend the breakfast as well worth paying the extra. We had a meal too and this was excellent value for money. No faults whatsoever. Highly recommend.

Margaret was so welcoming and friendly. We felt right at home.... which was lovely after driving 4 hours to the ferry and then getting on the ferry for two hours. We were very tired so the location and accessibility from the ferry was second to none. The house was so warm and cosy. I loved the decor of the house and furnishings in our room. The br

Very friendly owner and nothing was any trouble.Had to catch early ferry 6.30am to Befast and she provided my sister and myself with an excellent packed lunch as we would not be there for breakfast.It was much appreciated.The breakfast the next morning was excellent.Very convenient for both ferry terminals to Ireland

Ideally located as a stop over for the Cairnryan or Stranraer ferry ports this BandB offers great value for money. Helpful, welcoming staff. Recently refurbished to a high standard offering comfortable and clean accommodation. Easy car parking. Excellent buffet breakfast or a cooked breakfast done to order. Large comfortable lounge area available.
... ce que les gens disent » Some interesting history to the site too. - Everything was great - even a proper vegetarian breakfast! The hotel was spotlessly clean and had a warm feel about it. Everthing in the room worked as it should and there were some thoughtful and useful touches such as fresh milk if required rather than those UHT pots. The owners were friendly and very helpful and I would definitely stay here again when in the area.
