  My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. There are a number of nearby pubs, and a Marks & Spencer across the street if you require groceries.   Lovely place for our holiday. Location was excellent,an easy walk to East Croydon station then 20 mins to London centre and the tram to Wimbledon. Flat was comfortable and nicely appointed, worked reasonably well for our family. Although I have a couple of negative comments I would still really recommend the flats and I would gladly stay at them a... ce que les gens disent » gain. - Location, cleanliness, furnishings were all excellent. Staff involvement kept to a minimum but were on call if required. Very good value for money. 5 minute walk from East Croydon train station and 15 minute train journey to Victoria. Excellent shopping facilities in Croydon also.
