Besides the fact that the hotel is an interior design gem in the middle of Colombo and the staff were fantastic from start to finish - at the end of our trip my wife fell very ill. The hotel staff rushed us to the hospital, where they didn't speak English, they stayed with me and dealt with everything until around 3am. They were patient, caring, and generally fantastic. We were very well looked after with lovely meals and spotless and well

Good Hotels in Sri Lanka are not cheap and it is worth what you pay when
compared to cheaper Hotels. Mount Lavinia was superb in all aspects. It
takes about 80 minutes from the airport and I would advise anyone
against driving themselves. Always hire a car with a driver, otherwise

Mt Lavinia is an experience. The hotel rooms in the old section are a
little tied, and wow what could they do if they spent a bit money! (I
stayed in a delux room). That aside. The rooms were clean and
comfortable and had everything you needed, and the view was wow! The
service at the hotel is excellent the areas around the pool and at the
beach are fabulous, especially at dusk with the sun setting and the
candles being lit. Totally worth a visit. This history the views the
service, just lovely

If you are staying in Colombo this is the place to be if you don't
want the generic hotel that's in every city. It is still the best
location even though there is a refurbished hotel at the other end of
Galle face Green with nice rooms but not not the same quality or class
by a million miles. Make sure you are in the new wing as the old wing
is now very tired although it was the best a few years back. I think
it is being refurbished and then it will be the better wing as the
rooms are huge.

Colombo has some of the best sight seeing's to offer, from the lovely beaches, the sun sets and the modern city with the lovely restuarants. This place has access to almost every facility that a traveller could ask for. Supun is close to the beach and facing the main galle road. it has good restaurants close by . Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a cool refreshing towel, and fresh cold juice. The hotel staff was more than accomodating. They were very helpful and showed genuine care and concern for me and my son when he felt ill the last day of our visity. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable with A/C units, and a fan. The meals are prepared to order and they can even accomodate off menu items at times. The bathrooms are modern with rain showers. It is close to the airport, about 30 mins. D

I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of my trip to Sri Lanka. Check in was efficient and my room was large, clean and bright. There were two twin beds pushed together which I don't like but they were large beds so no problem. There's a/c and a good fan. The bathroom is large and clean and everything works.
There's a good range of sports channels on the TV and a large movie collection available to borrow.
