  33 on first is a wonderful guest house, with a very beautiful decoration, very friendly staff, really tasteful breakfast and located in the best neighborhood of Johannesburg (safe and quiet, but with many options of restaurants and bars).   A friend and myself needed accommodation for one night before our train trip back to Cape Town. We have never been to Johannesburg and surroundings and were extremely delighted with our choice of accommodation. Peaceful surroundings, birdlife, beautiful and comfortable room, large garden with chairs and tables on the patio or outside, and every a... ce que les gens disent » menity you needed to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We arrived earlier than check-in time due and were immediately offered coffee and a plac - The staff were very friendly and very helpfull in every situation. The water meter had been stollen so we were without water for a good part of a day. The staff made sure we had water and hot water whenever we needed it. Wonderful breakfasts. Nice location in Johannesburg. Would stay again for sure.

  I stayed here for a bussiness-trip in februari 2013. Felt home from the moment I entered the guesthouse. Staff members are very helpfull. The garden is a very nice place to sit after a day working.   Loved the decour, gardens, atmosphere, bathroom, comfy bed, nice white linen, and especially the exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff - The staff was very freindly and helpful. We landed in Jo'burg after 24 hours of travelling and the warm welcome was well appreciated.
