  A well run hotel conveniently located in a quieter part of Sea View. The suites are modern and tastefully decorated although the bedrooms are smaller than the living room area.We also enjoyed a nice sized balcony overlooking the pool and with a sea view. I would like to return for a longer stay. - The staff were friendly,courteous and efficient without being intrusive. They went beyond the call of duty to assist. The hotel itself is what a 5 star hotel is all about, and I have stayed in five star hotels throughout the world,some of which don't match up to this.Would definitely stay there again.

  Peter (who is the owner) is one of the gratest host of all!! I was so happy to meet such a person. So helpful on helping you getting to know the city and all! The lodge is very nice, quite and safe. You feel like you are a family the 2nd day. Although I stayed in a room without a bathroom I did not had any problems whatsoever as the bathrooms were al so close to the rooms a - Excellent value-for-money, decent rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean. The staff is extremely nice and will help you with any questions you might have. Breakfast is extra, but good quality. The owner made sure to be very personal and made my stay very pleasurable.

  Everything! It was the best choice that my friends and I did! From the rooms to the manager, everything works perfectly! I recommend The Vagabond to everyone!   We stayed three nights at B.I.G. in one of the worst downpours, with hail, seen by Cape Town in years. This managed to mess up our plans.... But due to Amilion, Linda, Tulua, and Amy, we were able to have a wonderful time anyway. When we first arrived, Amilion (spelling?) suggested we go immediately to see Kirstenbosh due to the pending bad weathe... ce que les gens disent » r. Since this was top of our desires, we are soooo thankful to her for her insistence as we may not have been able to see it otherwise. The rooms were - We were welcomed with a traditional South African braii - barbecue! How much better can you get to meet everyone and get comfortable with the Cape Town groove?! We loved the staff - from the owner to the housekeepers - they really took good care of us while allowing us to still enjoy the "backpacker-style" of lodging. They helped us plan our days to use our time and $$ so we could get to do all the things we hoped to enjoy in our 5 nights stay. The Dave Matthews Band concert brought us 8,000
