  Absolutely everything. Friendly and helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, thoughtful design of the rooms, location - Setting was spectacular. Privacy was welcome. Staff were very helpful.

  It's a five minute walk up to all the restaurants and from where the wine tram departs, perfect. It is really small but with Real quality and attention to detail. The public areas and our room were beautiful. Small touches like a decanter of sherry in the room, plus exquisite puddings left in the room at turn-down really give the place an opulent... ce que les gens disent » feel. Guest care is great too; they'll book restaurant tables for you, recommend/explain the styles of cuisine etc etc. - The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located. The staff was friendly and always helpful. We enjoyed the stay so much that we booked two extra nights.The manager recommended restaurants, trips etc. We couldn't ask for a better stay and hospitality. We felt very spoiled and will definitely return.

  My wife and I spent five nights at the Akademie. We stayed in Ooirtgung Cottage (spelling probably not correct) which has a lot of history and is very charming; slightly secluded from the main house and other cottages it was perfect.
