  Clean, efficient and beautifully decorated hotel and restaurantw with tables in and out, Very close public bathing pier on the Fjord which is nice and quiet AND the staff kindly accepted to cater to our (annoying) triathletes' needs! Couldn't believe the room and the view from the full wall of window, 20 foot high.   For Norway, a reasonable price. We did not mind cleaning for ourselves at the end of our stay. Clean, modern, comfortable for a family. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals. Most likely you need a car. It was summer, so we used this as a homebase. Some daytrips we enjoyed: Gudvangan and ferry to/from Flam. Great location - in a hour you can reach 1) Gudvangen to the East (great Naroyfjord nearby, and also stunning view from the serpantine road above the tonnel to Gudvangen), 2) great Hardangerfjord to the South 3) Sognefjord to the North (and near the road to Sognefjord you can walk over snow fields even in August!). There are three flyss buss stops very close - only 40€ to get to downtown Bergen (fish market, the mountain tram, train station) The breakfast was delicious, the room very comfortable - I found the price one of the best in Bergen ...   Design of the main building. Very cosy and traditional, restaurant and wifi are avaliable. Lots of hiking trails and amazing waterfall 10 minutes away. - The owner is very friendly and wait for us until 23:00. The room has kitchen so that you can bring your own food and cook. I like it!:)
