  It is a very cosy, comfortable hotel. The onsen is superb with great view of the city. The massage is also great, skillful staff and great value for money compared to other 5-star hotels that we have stayed in Japan. We got a room with a huge bed and tatami space, there were enough beddings & space for 2 adults and 2 grown up children (althoug... ce que les gens disent » h we only got a 4 yr old). Hence, enough space for play which is rare in Japan. The staff are friendly and helpful although only speak basic English. - Th location is good, walk to Mt Hakodate rope way is around 20 mins. The hotel itself is next to the red brick warehouses.

  The hotel has excellent public and private onsen. Food was great and staff very helpful and friendly. It was s bit on the expensive side but then we paid for quality. From the moment we drove to the hotel driveway to checking out, the service provided was par excellent! I didn't expect to see my favourite blazer again so it was a nice surprise! - after travelling in Japan for a week, it is nice to have some real english speaking staff!   We arrived 2 hours early before check-in time on a rainy day and were immediately checked into one of the larger room. The room is nicely deco and very clean.The windows are facing the lake and you can even get a view of the Yutei mountain on a clear day. We stayed for 2 nights so were able to sample both western and japanese style cooking for dinner and breakfast. The - The pension is clean and comfortable, with the summer fireworks show visible from the lake view room windows. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious and a great value for the money. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, even with limited English ability. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

  The room was clean and nice with free multi-charger for my phone. There were also free onsen for men/women. The kids love going to the onsen. The free ramen at 9.30 pm everyday was delicious and the buffet breakfast was good with wide selections. The counter staff was very helpful with the city map and directions. The walk to the Otaru Canal was about 10 to - perfect location across from jr otaru station, fantastic spa with pajamas provided, comfortable beds, restaurants and shopping nearby, famous canal area short walk down main street, top-notch staff willing to go the extra mile to help make your stay worry free, free ramen noodles on cold nights during winter, free fresh coffee and hot tea daily in the lobby, one of the best values in all of japan in our opinion
