Unlike many other visitors to Koyasan we decided to stay two nights and to enjoy the temple lodging even more. We booked a room with private toilet, so we had an advantage over the others. The temple is unbelievable beautiful. Everywhere you turn you just will be astonished about all that figures, beautiful rooms, relics etc. Also they have 3 beautiful gardens designed by a japanese star garden designer.
