  The room is big. It has a fridge to keep the beer cold. The staff are helpful. Very close to the bus and train station. 457 bus direct to airport. Short walk to the good part of the old city.   Great location in the city, near to the Cathedral, the shopping street and lots of good places to eat. Not far from the bus to the airport but the taxi is only 20 Euro and is just a 15 minute ride (bus #437 will take you to and from a stop near the Duomo but then about another 10 min. Walk). After 11 pm, totally quiet. Safe and secure - What we like the most was the excellent customer service provided by Giuseppe. He was willing to help and always with a smile. He gave us recommendations of Catania. The room was just excellent, very comfortable. The breakfast so good and the location close to the tourist information office, The Duomo, Via Etna and most of the interesting places in town. Bravo Giuseppe !!!!!

However, the staff will help you with taking the luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel is situated in a little seedy area near the fish market. However, once you walk pass these 1-2 blocks, you are at the Elephant fountain and the Duomo so the location to the sights is great. There are lots of good seafood restaurants nearby.

La gentillesse du personnel et en particulier celle de Véronique à la réception donnant une foule de renseignements en français, la situation centrale à proximité de la gare et des autobus permettant de visiter facilement toute la région, la chambre 107 donnant sur le patio intérieur. Demandez cette chambre, elle est superbe, vous ne le reg... ce que les gens disent » retterez pas ! - La situation. La voiture prise en charge par le personnel pour la porterau garage à côté pour 10 euros la journée. Le petit déjeuner excellentavec un vrai café italien (ce qui est très rare). Le confort deschambres avec une grande salle de bains.

Le petit déjeuner servi au café voisin est un peu limité mais si le temps s'y prête, prendre son petit déjeuner sur la place du Duomo ne manque pas de charme!

  excellent location, near 2 main squares. at the Duomo square you can find 2 types of touristic buses - the standard citysightseeing and the other one cheaper 5 euro (1hour trip without stop). you also can find all main streets having begin at the square Duomo. the landlord is a very friendly woman, she helped me to book an excursion to Etna (must ... ce que les gens disent » see! half day was enough for mee; "without jeep" is not very tiring). the breakfast is served in a cafe neighbour to the appartment (croissant\briosh - This BB has a central location [2 min from Piazza Duomo], really close to public transportation [Piazza Alcala] and via Etnea [wich is one of the main streets in Catania]. The BB is clean and comfy. The owners, Giovanni and his mother [who lives next door] are nice people. The palazzo in which the BB is located it's a bit noisy, but this is Sicilly. Overall, I was pleased with the place and I recomend it.
