  From the moment that we drove down through the city streets to City Center Hotel, we knew that the location was just right on. We were near the majority of restaurants, museums & galleries and shopping. Everything was in walking distance. The staff was very helpful in all aspects that a visitor to Iceland would expect. We had a room with a balcony which was a good idea as it gave us a lovely view of the square behind the hotel. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was substantial.   Amazed to have easy on-street parking right in front of the hotel each night. Enjoyed the art! Impressed by the signs up one day that the street lights would be off and an upper floor room available for potential viewing of the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, cloud cover did not cooperate. Our young waiter (from the Netherlands) was so p - I've been once before and choosing a Hotel for my wife's 60th birthday remembered Hotel Holt for its atmosphere, its wonderful collection of paintings and its excellent food. Of course it is also within walking distance of everywhere you want to go. The hotel fully lived up to my recollections and went down very well with my artistic wife.
