This hotel, more of a farm reall, is delightful. The rooms are small but beautifully appointed with great attention to detail. This is a little hotel at a farm basically in the middle of nowhere. We
stayed there off season and it was very quiet (exactly what we were
looking for). The room was very clean. The staff is extremely friendly
and helpful. There is a restaurant on the property and the food is very
good, many vegetables are home-grown. There is also a hot tub there from
which you could see the horses and the mountains around.

The new owner was really kind to us. We were on our honeymoon and he made our stay extra comfortable. Good food and nice room. It's a new hotel so there's a working elevator and good features. The restaurant was nice enough to let me order the fish n chips for dinner which is only offered at lunch. It was excellent! Easy to get to hotel near some great hiking spots and glaciers. -

Excellent facilities, spotlessly clean, very pleasant host. Linda provides a generous breakfast catering to all tastes and it is a bonus that just around the corner is a restaurant that serves good food at reasonable prices. This makes Akranes a good stopover point. -

Harbour House has probably the best location in Stykkisholmur--as the name suggests, it is right on the harbor. The town is small, but as the ferry terminal, is an important link to the West Fjords. The hostel is new, clean, well run with great staff and nice amenities. Good restos, grocery and the municipal pool are easily reached on foot.

Location superb. Snaefellsjokll Glacier overlooking us, the Atlantic beside us, the wildlife - seabirds, plants.. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent too - a great mix of choices. Couldn't have asked for better. A magical experience. -

Beautiful house right on the coast. We stayed in the front room downstairs. The room was large and comfortable with fantastic views of the sea. The shared bathroom was clean and available. The B&B is located next to the shore in Borgarnes. The stuff were very helpful, in was nice rooms and an excellent breakfast. The kids loved it - they had newly made panncakes.
The best stay we had on our seven days driving round Iceland!

Beautiful surroundings to hike/walk on April 13 out the door to the
beach and up the brook to the waterfall. Great bird watching on the bay.
Friendly hosts/hostess that were very helpful in their information
about Iceland and in making recommendations for dinner, our next day
plans, where else to stay etc. They also allowed us to play flute and
fiddle music, fun to share. Beautiful sunroom, for delicious breakfast
with spectacular mountain and ocean views on 3 sides of the room.
