  The hotel was situated ideally for my stay i attended a racing pigeon convention and the hotel was not more that 10mins walk to the arena that it was staged so no transport costs.   I can't say enough good things about this hotel! The man running it is an absolute gentleman. He and his family run an excellent establishment! I will always stay here when I visit Dusseldorf. He gave us great recommendations on where to go and what to see for the short time we were in town (travelling to Dortmund the next day). Ev - First reaction of the lobby area was the opulence of the décor a little garish perhaps, certainly different (unique) however, the hotel is in a good location, next to the iconic U building, and Westentor U-bahn station, and a short walk to the City centre. Staff were helpful and friendly, rooms spacious and well appointed, and excellent vfm.
