This family owned and operated hotel is absolutely wonderful! The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are big and bright and very clean, and the restaurant is awesome! There is also a local metro stop just around the corner. It's worth knowing that it has now been renamed the Park Inn, rather than the Holiday Inn, which confused us when we first got there! True is that it’s not centrally located. However, it’s easy to access by car. 3 minutes from the hotel is a tram station to the center. Hotel is a typical holiday express structure, nothing special but OK. Staff was excellent, professional and courteous. Breakfast included in the room rate was a pleasant surprise – variety exceeded expectations. There is a parking next to the hotel – they charge 6 € per day. Shopping in dortmund is ok, killed a few hours, went for a good few miles walk around the city, all very nice. If your on business in dortmund, i'd stay here, pool very good, gym ok, just what you need after the end of the day. Decent bar staff serving some very good german lager, everyone very friendly.
