Despite previous comments regarding the owners, we found them to be friendly and helpful. It was a fantastic stop-off for our long trip to Gascony. Pool was great for kids and we loved having a few wines in the garden. Good to have a fridge in the room. Very close to town so easy to wander into for lunch and dinner. A few nice shops to look at. Th... ce que les gens disent » e hotel has a gentle air of faded grandeur. Don't stay here if you are after luxury! But it had everything we needed for two nights.Would stay again o - We were impressed by the elligant look of the hotel. It was just how you would imagine a French period hotel to be. We booked the suite, which comprised of 2 rooms and a shower room. Although quite expensive, it was cheaper than booking 2 seperate rooms at other hotels. The rooms and bathroom were immaculately clean. I must also say that the decor was beautiful. We usually stay at Chateauroux a few miles away, but this is a bit of a hidden jem.
