  We stayed in Beijing at Xiao Yuan Alley Courtyard Hotel for 3 nights. It is lovely small hotel in Chinese style. It is very friendly, pleasant, comfortable and cute! It is situated in an old Beijing district Hutong, which is probably the only bastion of traditional Chinese climate left. It is situated max. 30-minute walk from the Forbidden city. ... ce que les gens disent » The nearest 2 metro stations are approx 10-minute walk from the hotel. The taxi from the airport to the hotel cost us 70 yuans (according to a taximet - Featuring charming, ultra-helpful English-speaking staff; the Xiao Yuan Alley hotel provides comfortable beds and good facilities, with a superbly located downtown hutong (Beijing alley) location, sensibly priced organized tours (if you wish) and excellent and very reasonably priced food available inside and nearby outside the hotel. And it's a very affordable place. I very much want to stay at this hotel again. I get happy just thinking about it. Highly recommend.

  The staff were incredibly polite and the service was impeccable. They were also very helpful in providing us with "local knowledge" of where to go have fun, have good food etc etc. The room itself was huge.   I can not fault it really. Excellent staff who spoke good English at the Reception, the apartment was large, stylish, open plan, very comfortable, and spotless. Perfect for couples, singles and a family - Stayed here for the fourth time this year, and it is consistently excellent and this includes the staff.
