Our family stayed here while vacationing with another family. Each family stayed in an apartment with the apartments in different buildings. The rooms were comfortable and convenient for people traveling with children. We had a fresh water dispenser, washer/dryer (with laundry soap), small kitchen with stove and fridge. Both rooms were furnished in a similar manner--not fancy, but clean and adequate for our needs. The manager, Robert, spoke enough English to answer any questions. He made h

Staff at this accommodation is so helpful and kind. It is hard to find
at first. The taxi we took from the airport (170rmb which was scam) can
not find the place he had to call the hotel and drop us at one of the
entrance. There are two entrances. There is no reception area for you to

Great location. The studio apartment is in a new building, and the
building is a part of a closed structure of approx. 10 buildings such as
this one. It is surrounded by a fence and there is a guard at the
entrance (nice) (It's not like it is unsafe neighborhood). Inside
there is a tennis court, and plenty of grass. Although it is not located
in the city center, it's 10 minutes walk from mtr station
(dongimen), than it takes about 4 stops to the Tiananmen square. The

We stayed in Beijing at Xiao Yuan Alley Courtyard Hotel for 3 nights. It is lovely small hotel in Chinese style. It is very friendly, pleasant, comfortable and cute! It is situated in an old Beijing district Hutong, which is probably the only bastion of traditional Chinese climate left. It is situated max. 30-minute walk from the Forbidden city.

Featuring charming, ultra-helpful English-speaking staff; the Xiao Yuan Alley hotel provides comfortable beds and good facilities, with a superbly located downtown hutong (Beijing alley) location, sensibly priced organized tours (if you wish) and excellent and very reasonably priced food available inside and nearby outside the hotel. And it's a very affordable place.
I very much want to stay at this hotel again. I get happy just thinking about it. Highly recommend.

I love the bar/resto and the rooftop! A nice place to hang out at
night or when we just want to rest for a while. I like the location
because its still in the middle of city but it's not as crowded or
as noisy as other city centers. It's also very close to metro
station. All in all, it's perfect place to stay! Very excellent and
helpful staffs too

I loved the design. The authentic feel of the historic premises was
truly captivating. The design of the hotel is superb, blending old with
new in an absolutely perfect way. The staff were very helpful,
professional, warm and friendly, and dressed in traditional Chinese
clothing. One could get to know them all by name, and they are all
wonderful.
