The room and guesthouse were luxurious and the location superb. Shane was extremely accommodating, the atmosphere was relaxing and sophisticated. Our room had a spa bath and balcony, robes and breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice were included. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking accommodation in Melbourne.

The location was fantastic for exploring Melbourne - close to all the restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel pool was beautiful and I really enjoyed swimming there during my stay. Everyone, from the people on the desk to the cleaning staff to the people in the restaurant at breakfast time were polite, helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome without being 'in your face'. We loved Mantra on Russell. From the moment we checked in, the experience was great. Particular mention must be made of Mr Aaron Light at the front desk. He was very professional and extremely helpful. The apartment was very clean and the housekeeping personnel were very good and efficient. We have stayed in several apartments in Melbourne during our previous trips there but this is by far the best! Will definitely stay there again!

We loved it, kids had a great time. We had 2 inter-connecting rooms that were great. Public spaces were excellent lots of room for the kids to run around when they felt the need. The Merchant restaurant located in the building is fabulous a real gem.

I found the room to be at an excellent standard, and the staff, including the front desk, room service and ground floor staff, to be friendly and approachable. The breakfast and room service food was excellent and of a high quality. I also found the amenties within the room fantastic, especially the wonderful king size bed. This was my second stay and I will continue to stay there for any future visits.

My son goes to boarding school in Melbourne. This has become my second home when I visit Melbourne. Paul and Adrian are friendly and helpful at the reception desk. The train station is right next door. Excellent location for going to the city or shopping in Chapel Street or Praham.

Amazing staff, especially concierge who always greeted us warmly and helped us with our twins. Very accommodating and sympathetic to our needs for our 6 month old babies. Well furnished rooms/suites for amazing value. Best location - just around the corner from flinders lane where lots of good restaurants / cafes located. One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel - particularly for the price we paid!

The Executive one bedroom apartment was great - 709. Spacious with a decent kitchen. The bathroom was very large - very suitable for someone with a disability. There bed was comfortable. the apartment was clean and tidy. The room looked at the Art Centre spire which looked great lit up at night. -

Unfortunately the hot water system died the day we arrived, but
management was wonderful during this very testing time. We were kept

Arriving on a delayed flight into Melbourne via Sydney from Hawaii, we expected all sorts of problems upon arriving very late at the Somerset.
However, I must complement their staff, in particular Paul Dale, who were very helpful and understanding.

i like there are lots of electric and home appliances, like microwave oven, washing machine, stove, etc. There are shops and supermarkets nearby thus cooking in the room is very convenient esp. my mother is a vegetarian. It also near the melbourne central, queen victoria markets. And many tourist points can be reach on foot. (If you don't mind to walk)
