We had requested a late check out, as we were in NYC celebrating a milestone birthday. Not only were we granted the late check out, but just minutes after checking into our room, the hotel attache was at our door, delivering scrumption cupcakes with a chocolate "Happy Birthday" plaque. Such a lovely touch, it was very much appreciated and immediately kicked off the weekend in birthday celebration mode.

  It's was daughters 7th birthday. The staff went above and beyond. Recognized her at breakfast the following day and took it upon themselves to sing her happy birthday even remembering her name. Upon check out they had a hand written card with a small gift (winter hat) thanking her for spending her birthday at The Whiteface Lodge . The game room, movie theater, bowling, pools and the lakeside water sports added value at every turn. Breakfast was a delight and the staff superb.
