Love the setting and feel of this place! When I walked in, I felt like I was in the musical "Meet Me in St. Louis." I actually checked in late which wasn't a problem for Crystal. She welcomed me with open arms and a smile! She also invited me to a late-night snack of homemade cookies if I was hungry which I definitely took advantage of! I stayed in the Great Gatsby room with all 1920s decor, which definitely set the mood. I also loved breakfast! Crystal was in the kitchen waiting for me with a .
kaikki arvostelut » Friendly, accommodating staff - from our very first interaction, we could tell she was looking out for our needs, offering us a cut rate on a room because she insisted the room we had reserved wouldn't be big enough. The suite was more than we expected -- clean and comfortable. And what can I say about the breakfasts? If we could, we would have stayed more than 2 nights just to sample the rest of the menu. Everything was delicious, in good-sized portions. All in all, this place helped to make . Beautiful, victorian for real, authentic mansion. Felt like going back in time. Everything was as you should expect in a Victorian mansion. Staff were all amazingly friendly. Food was excellent, Clementine is a sweet dog / welcoming committee. Overall a great value in Denver. If you want a chain hotel experience, go to a chain hotel. This B&B is everything a B&B should be, Victorian style. The location. A girly, "frilly curtains", Victorian mansion kind of place right downtown. The breakfast and the conversation was great; get the "cowboy pancake" and the vegetarian quiche. All the staff, even the dog, are great, just like old friends, it seemed. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Crystal makes everyone feel at home. Lovely period decor and furnishings. Outstanding breakfasts, cooked to order! Loved the lox omelet. I'll definitely return when I'm next in Denver. The bed & breakfast was very comfortable, with the breakfast definitely a highlight. Big breakfast. good homemade breakfast, friendly staff. Staying on the north side of the building results in too much ambient city noise from Colfax Ave on a hot evening when you need to keep the windows open. Felt a little like we were imposing some days at breakfast. We are last minute people and we didn't give the cook much time before the end of the breakfast hour but Mark and Megan did a great job nevertheless. Also had to dodge homeless/street people asking for money. What's not to like?. A bit of a walk to downtown, but bus is convenient. The neighborhood is not very exciting but it's close to downtown and there are public transportation opportunities. noisy!. At arrival the owner gived us an explanation of the poot room and gived a proposal for abetter room at a rare of + 30 %. Then she showed us the poor room : no window, so small : a small bed and there was no place to stall your suitcases. Conclusion : you are forced tot take the more expensive room ! There was so much noise from the Traffic of the Hwy 40. Location - dodgy Décor - tired Victorian Needs a lot of maintenance. The room reserved via booking was too small for two people and the bathroom was in the basement. So we decided to upgrade to an other room more expensive. The building is very old. this is an old house which in my opinion has not completely succeeded in becoming a hotel: my single bedroom was very small, hardly possible to move around, tv out of order, noisy a/c, should be an "emergency room" and certainly not at this cost; insufficient sanitary equipment in the hotel (my room had none), not very good area, difficult to park a car with a "safely" feeling 4/10.
