  Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Fantastic location. Very nice room. Very well kept and looked after while we were there. Never felt intruded upon by house keeping. They came in while we were out. We always had fresh bath linens and the room was always spotless.   Katherine behind the front desk was amazing. We arrive super early and even though we couldn't get an earlier check in at 8am she called the spa to allow us fix ourselves up and change in their facility. She did her best at getting the room ready and personally called us back at 1230 to let us know when it was. By that time however I was already 30 minutes away by foot thoroughly - What didn't I like?? It was at a great location 5-10 mins walk to Empire State and Times Square. Subway is only a block away. You have a 24 hour organic deli across the road Bread and Butter. Korean food and restaurants open till late. 15-20min walk to Chelsea and soho. Les Halle's french restaurant is just across the road!   OM-Gosh! What a hotel.... Firstly the staff are A-mazing and secondly the hotel is just marvellous. This hotel is more like a private members club than a hotel, its chic, suave and sophisticated but by no means 'showey' like most high-end expensive hotels. The attention to detail on furnishings in the drawing room and bedrooms is just exqusite. Soft-Drinks and Treats in the room are all gratis which - The closest hotel I have found is the Milestone in London. It has perfect, large rooms for NYC, free snacks and soft drinks, a wonderful spa, and enough quirks and charms to make it I suspect the best hotel experience in NYC. You can pay up for a fancy, big lobby but I think this is actually the best hotel experience.
