We were met with a pot of tea and cake which was lovely after our journey. Paul was very helpful re things to do in the area and lots of info on local walks etc. The room was small but had everything we could possibly have needed and the bed was so comfortable! The attention to detail was excellent. I have recommended this hotel to a number of friends and family already!. I had a wonderful relaxing break at the Braemount. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I also found that the recommendations of places to eat and sites to see were superb. I would definately stay again and strongly encourage others to do so. An all round excellent hotel which is perfect for a stay in the beautiful surrounding area.

The food was lovely, and they were very understanding about us arriving late, and couldn't be more helpful. The glasses of wine waiting for us after our long journey were very much appreciated!. Everything! Friendly, comfortable, warm and very welcoming. We no longerneed to ever look elsewhere - why should we? Little things like thewelcoming glass of wine to the mints on the pillows, litrature galoreand even dvds to borrow. Plus lots of helpful local knowledge!. Excellent service - couldn't fault it. Everything had been thought of, couldn't ask for more. Room was warm and comfortable, food was superb, everywhere was clean. Hotel is close to all amenities but far away enough from main road to ensure no traffic noise etc. The hotel was very clean and the hospitality was excellent. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Good location and facilities were good.Very friendly owners, provided coffee and cake on arrival and took time to chat to us and offered advice on good places to eat etc. Hot chocolate + cake + jacuzzi. Nice room. The proprietor was very helpful giving us tips on where to go to get the best pictures. The welcome was friendly and we could come and go as we liked. i booked a four poster room but there was not a four poster bed in the room. would have liked a bath, thought it said there was ine in every room. however, it wasn't a problem. Lovely hotel, but lesiure club is 20 minutes drive not walk and is not private as it was full of children and families so not very relaxing.Nothing to dislike, but the parking required a tight turn from the road if you have a big car. Perhaps a bit of a walk, to town, Bowness+Windermere (10mins) but hey,we weren't that fussed!. It was slightly cold when the heating went off. On arrival at the hotel the hotel owner was quite rude when we arrived at 2:30 as she was under the impression we were arriving earlier.noisy next door room tv noise through wall. dvd player in room didnt work properly. Position of room adjacent to front door.
