  I am very impressed with the attention and positivity of all the hotel personnel we have been in contact with. Originally we booked 4 nights in another central London hotel, but we were very displeased with that hotel's room condition and the way their personnel attended to our complaints. Both the personnel and hotel were very good/comforting and a big relief after our not so good experience. This is a hotel I - The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even though we arrived much later than anticipated. The room was very clean, comfortable and quite luxurious. The location of the hotel was fantastic for us. It was within walking distance of many great restaurants, shops and tourist attractions without it feeling too hectic. The transport links were also very good and only a 3 minute walk away. I cannot wait to stay at the Flemings Mayfair again.

  Location was excellent - a short walk from Paddington. Room decor was a high standard with air con and power shower - Good location, near Hyde park, underground station 10 min walk away. Clean room, staff is ok.

  Its a good value hotel, fairly basic, but better than many other budget hotels.   The apartment is 5 mins walk to Bayswater tube station and a minute more to Queensway station so it's really convenient to have stations that serve different lines - makes planning routes much easier. On the way there are lots of eateries (halal ones too, including Subway), supermarkets and a nearby mall, so the location was great.   Great hotel! it's a lot of years that i go to London and i never see a hotel like this! All very clearness, up to the britain standard. We can enter in our rooms with magnetic cards key, it is very useful. The rooms are fantastic, all in mahogany wood with a large lcd tv on the wall. Modern rooms, small but well designed and comfortable. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant cafe was first class. Rooms well stocked with necessities and towels etc replaced frequently. Great location, shop to one side, small cheaper cafe to the other. 1 minute walk from Paddington tube station where there is an express tube to Heathrow!

  Excellent staff help, best hotel bed I have slept in, great (huge!) breakfast. Superb location, only five minutes walk from Victoria station. We could not have asked anything more.   I'd never stayed at The Athenaeum before but I will be back. Although I booked a standard double at a very deep discounted rate (typically this means getting the box room next to the staff quarters), I was given an apartment room which was really a suite.
