  I thought the rooms, or more importantly, the room I received was absolutely fabulous. It was spacious and luxurious. Highly recommend it for the room that I was allocated however I did see some of the other rooms as family members were staying and there double rooms were extremely small, but again I can only comment for my self and extremely happy... mitä ihmiset sanovat » with the room and size - I have stayed at the Golden Lion on a couple of occassions. The rooms are very comfortable and staff very helpful. it is ideally located for the city centre and also has a very comfortable bar of its own.

  I liked the fact it was a lodge with my own door going out onto a small verandah. I had my dog with me and this was great for her to get out and in. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, also very dog friendly and made a fuss of Molly. Ian made sure we were happy with everything. Have used again and will do so in future for one night stop over. We found the staff to be very helpful and the open fire in main building was a welcome sight in the cold weather.
