James & Nelly the propietors, are the most welcoming and warm people that I have encountered in a long time.
Nelly is bubbly and full of energy, James -, a little more laid back but very affable.
They compliment each other well.
Nelly's chilli con carne is to die for and James's selection of malts exquisite.
The Hotel is clean, comfortable, has a balance of old and modern, the rooms very cosy and value for money package, 200%!. kaikki arvostelut »
Friendly and welcoming hosts. Very helpful and generous with local
advice. Reasonable B&B rates included excellent Scottish breakfast,
great value. Evening meals simple, tasty and wholesome taken in the bar
lounge with an open fire. Sky Sports channel meant we saw the Masters
golf - a bonus! Really enjoyed our stay over two nights. Would
definitely come back.
The four of us were French people. We thouroughly enjoyed the family-like atmosphere of the place, the possibility to have our meals there, the good food prepared by the landlady, and above all the friendly relationship that we built with the landlord and landlady during the three days of our stay. We would very much enjoy staying there another time.
Its big braw warm welcome on arrival...
Its honest true Highland hospitality...
A hotel that has everything for everyone and
which has the most warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly owners
Ohhh and a cooked breakfast that needs to be seen and tasted to be believed
It was fantastic, what you definitely need to start the day....
James and Nellie were perfect hosts. The hotel is basically a bar with rooms. The bar/restaurant was atmospheric, with a log fire. Food was very good indeed. There is an extensive malt whisky menu which merits exploring. Our room/ensuite had recently been refurbished to a high standard. Great!!.
The Luib hotel is full of 17th century charm. If you like very old
places with skew floors and doors... This is the place to be. The room
and bathroom were very spacious and it was very enjoyable to have a pub
downstairs where you could enjoy a friendly atmosphere . Beautiful
setting as well!.
A very warm welcome on arrival had a much needed drink from an extremely well stocked bar. We chose to have the sirloin steak for our evening meal as it was recommended by another guest and we were not disappointed, freshly cooked on the ban it was truly delicious.
Everyone was extremely friendly.
The menu for the evening meal was very good, particularly for a lifelong vegetarian who has normally found very limited choices on hotel and restaurant menues. The food itself was excellent.
the staff were very friendly as were the other guests, the bedroom was very comfortable the food was good especialy the breakfast, they also serve a very nice pint of beer I will certainly stay there again.
Very comfortable and good value. Nice atmosphere in bar/restaurant/lounge. Food excellent and staff couldn't be more helpful. Bedroom and bathroom had plenty of space. On it's own but quite well located.
James and Nelly are wonderful hosts who truly understand the importance of 'customer satisfaction'. Their attention to detail in ensuring our stay was special was second to none. Highly recommended.
The location is superb for mountains and general walking. Food is of a very high standard and reasonably priced. The owners are the most obliging couple, absolutely nothing is a problem to them.
The beds were amazingly comfortable. it is family run, they are very friendly and helpful. The scotish breakfast was amazing, good quality sausages.
James was very welcoming. Lovely real fire in the dining/bar area. Food good and portions large. Cosy, quiet room. Would definitely stay again.

Splendid location.
Everything.
Not being able to stay longer!.
Room was slightly cool upon arrival, but radiator soon warmed up.
Cant think of anything.....
Our only negative was our initial thoughts as we pulled into the car park, the hotel looked some what shabby so We decided to check the room out first! Just gods to show that first impressions are not always right.
Nothing.
A bit quirky - Christmas decorations in June ?.
Nothing.
Don't expect to get a mobile phone signal. Sometimes it's nice not to be contactable.
hotel could do with a bit of a face lift the inside was very tired looking but i suppose that comes with the age of the hotel.
Arrival wasn't great - seemed like we weren't expected and the lady wasn't ever so friendly. However, once over the initial issue with my room everything was fine.
A bit dark inside, rooms OK.
Nothing.
Could do with updating the decor - but all clean and comfortable - and at a good price.
We liked it all.
I don't know!!!.
Outside looked a little bit tired.
Nothing.
The meals were a bit overpriced for what we received.
It was a little cold the night I stayed but it was -10 degrees outside!.
Leaving.
No real ale on tap.
nothing.
Everything was fine.
That we had to miss the curry night because we had a prior engagement!.
There was nothing to dislike.
