The staff are very helpful and friendly. They are able to give you menus for takeaways and give you plates etc for them. The location is ideal for Drayton Manor and the Snowdome also for the shops and a short walk to Tamworth its self. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel and room very clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from, all fresh. Hotel in perfect location, close to town, sport centre, retail park, soft play and bowling centre. Close to Drayton Manor too. We stayed 2 nights, and will definitely stay here again. In general very happy with stay.

The staff were very friendly despite us turning up after one in the morning after our nearby concert had finished. The following morning we were met by more friendly staff for breakfast and the reception was friendly too. The rooms were roomy, clean and tidy with everything you needed.

I have stayed at the Old Royd for many years when travelling to Alton Towers and I have never had a bad word to say. They get better infact, every year. Very pleasant and comfortable and within easy reach of all pubs, restaurants, tesco and attractions like Alton Towers.
