The proprietor of Mandalay B+B - Frank was so wonderful. A real genuine, decent friendly, generous and helpful gentleman. The B+B was inviting, warm and comfortable and in an ideal location just a short walk from the town with it's beautiful beach, shops, park, pier and lovely restaurants and bars. The Giant's causeway is only a short drive away and Frank gave us plenty of recommendations of where we could go exploring on our holiday. I can't recommend Mandalay highly enough. the owner was very welcoming, he gave us an upgrade to a bigger room free of charge, he gave us the numbers of local taxi firms so we could get home from the wedding reception, and our own front door key so we could come in late! it was a lovely warm room, comfortable bed and en-suite, just what we needed. The breakfast was huge and made to order, cooked by his wife it was lovely, there was a range on offer, cereal, fruit, toast, continental breakfast etc, but we both got full English fries! I.
Staff excellent, gave us fantastic recommendation for dinner down by the water at Mermaid (only 10 minute walk away). Ended up being one of our favourite restaurants ever.
Cute little B&B, comfy bed & yummy breakie. Loved the yoghurt, cereal & fresh fruit salad; we found that very hard to get in Ireland! (Cooked breakie was also available)

Frank was a fantastic host and very funny. He was very helpful and giving of information as to what to do/where to go. Breakfast was great, and the room was warm, bright, clean and comfortable. It was very convenient and close to the train station/bus station. Close to the beach and walking distance to everything in Portrush. Also convenient place to stay for the giants causeway, bushmills distillery and dunluce castle.
In Portrush for family weekend and opted for the Mandalay after reading other reviews. We stayed in a very comfortable and spacious family room. Fantastic choice of food for breakfast.The owner..Frank is a font of information..forget the tourist board!!! Overall an excellent stay and big thanks to Frank.

i have paid for a double room with shared bathroom, luckily the host offered me an ensuite, i have also had a look at the shared bathroom, very clean and separately.

Frank a great host, likes to share some humour. Clean room. Easy walk to town, eating places and bay. booked small double room and was given choice of three. Breakfast is above average with plenty fresh fruit, sliced hams, cheese etc. Value for money.

Frank is hospitable and has lots of tips on where to eat and what to see. He even offered to drop us off in town when it was raining. Very comfortable room with all facilities. Breakfast was scrumptious and filling, with plenty of choice.
The owner was very helpful and friendly. The B&B was comfortable and welcoming. It was also well situated for Portrush Main Street and the sea front. There are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance of the B&B.
From we arrived we were met at the door and shown to our room. Very friendly & helpful staff and the breakfast was delicious with plenty on offer. I'll be staying again & I would recommend it to anyone. EXCELLENT STAY.
We booked a small double which was fine in size. Great value for its location especially given price of other hotels that week. Frank was a brilliant host and breakfast was delicious, nothing was too much trouble!.

we had a great stay at the mandalay, the man that owns it was lovely! It was very clean, infact it was better than a few hotels that i have stayed at. Will be returning next year again.

Our room faced east and the curtains let in a lot of light. Bathroom could do with some shelves. No wifi sccess on third floor. These are only minor points in an overall well run B&B.
