a friendly small hotel not the highest quality fittings but the warmth and kindness of the staff especially the manager is something i have never experienced in a chain hotel, i made a few requests which were all dealt with at no extra charge. If you want 5 star luxury this is not it, but i got a double en suite room all to myself for £32.50, 2 minutes from the town centre. The welcoming atmosphere and staff. We were very well welcomed the staff were very helpfull. Easy access to the centre, and the help I had with my heavy bag.Very friendly welcoming. I arrived very late past the prescribed time and I have been welcomed warmly nonetheless. very close to the city centre,everything you need is there or near by. Good location, friendly staff and lots of character. convienient. The service was excellent and the room was very comfortable. It was much quieter than I'd expected, given that it was above a tapas bar. The Olive tree is excellently placed for the centre of Nottingham and very good value for its position. the location was good and room was nice enough plenty of tea and coffee which was good and bed was cosy enough and would definately come back here. comfortable, near city centre, quiet, friendly, safe. There was a dog end in the washbasin and some old soap in the shower.the only thing was it was too warm and i had to leave the window wide open at nite and the room was a little small but fine,. The inner doors to rooms were extremely heavy and hence were loud when closing.That there was nobody around on a night time, because i became locked out for 3hours in the cold and there was nobody in the hotel or nobody answering the phone. The room could have been cleaner and the shower leaked on the bathroom floor. No proper receipt but hand-written one. I got a room with private bathroom but not en-suite. the breakfast was horrible. The room was poor, the matress was very uncomfortable, it wasnoisy.Location was good as were shower, breakfast and staff. The bathroom was unheated and remote from the room, carpets were dirty and the windows were single glazed. The heating system was not operative. The television was behind my bed aand up high, and the remote control was very dirty.the bathroom needed redecoration. The place is in need of some work. My room was old and smelly and not the most comfortable. Also, there is no internet available.poor rooms, toilet outside the room, dirty toilet, high price for low value, old building,.
