  The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. We only stayed two nights and didn't have time to use the spa/pool but it looked really nice. Ideal for romantic walkings around the top Edinburgh attractions. We spent there lovely 3 nights during Easter, everything was good, staff very polite and helpful. Beautiful room with all the expected facilities. I would recommend to everybody.

  Excellent location,Five minute stroll to the Castle .The bed was superb, very big and very comfortable.Excellent choice at breakfast.Staff very efficient.   The hotel quality is great. Huge beds - everything well maintained and good quality. Breakfast was good - lots of choice. Great bar attached to the hotel. Good central location in easy walking distance of the train station and other bars and restaurants. Staff very good and helpful. - We were upgraded to a suite, which was fantastic.
