  The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. We only stayed two nights and didn't have time to use the spa/pool but it looked really nice.   Seriously, you could not get a better location, it really is in the heart of the royal mile and only 5 mins walk from the railway station. The staff are the most helpful, friendly and accommodating people - nothing was any trouble, they let us check in to the apartment earlier and let us check out later (leaving our cases in their premises both ti... mitä ihmiset sanovat » mes while we shopped, etc). Considering there were 5 girls sharing one bathroom & all getting ready to get out there was never any steam in the ba - The two brothers who own the apartment were so helpful and accommodating. They provided information about where to eat, what to see. From the moment we arrived they made us feel very welcomed. We arrived early before check-in so they moved our apt. Up the line to be prepped. They also stored our bags so we could enjoy the afternoon. The apartment is extremely comfortable (good beds and linen!) and directly overlooks all the bustle and excitement of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The location could not

  The corridors were quite dark but when my room door was open it was fabulous - I loved the decor of the room, the bathroom was enormous with a fabulous shower and it's got to be one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Just a pity that it was quite noisy and there was lots of clicking and ticking from things in the room. We ate at both restaurants downstairs and really enjoyed them. The room was not huge, but it was very nice, clean, and had a large bathroom with a large walk in shower. The airport shuttle is right across the street and there are always taxis waiting outside.
