The apartment itself is very large, sleek and modern and there is a lift in the building. It is less than a full block off of High Street and easy walking distance to Edinburgh and Holyrood Castles. For tourists the location couldn't be better. -

There is NO better place to stay. The staff is simply wonderful... Especially Harvey! This is the most ideal location.. You are by everything! It made my hop on hop off tour kind of pointless because of the fact you are that close to everything...and the flats were fantastic!! The one on Blair st is updated and a bit modern while the ones on High

1) Location for sight-seeing.
2) Facilities included kitchen and washing machine in apartment. The kitchen was well-equipped for its purpose as a travel accommodation.
3) Separate bedroom, so if you travel with someone whose sleep schedule is different than yours, they will not have to wake you up.
I don't know how much the company will accommodate your request, such as for a quiet apartment, but they supposedly do have different properties under their management, so it's worthwhile to ask.

Great to have so much space. The apartment was very tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. We had a great time sitting at the widow "people watching" on the royal mile. We stayed in a recently refurbished rom and it was very comfortable and quiet. A new large shower cubicle and shower had been installed and was very welcoming first thing in the morning. Everything was fabulous!The hotel was very clean and nice, the position couldn't have been better, close to everything, great view. The room is brand new, with modern decoration and fully equiped. We apreciated very much that there were facilities in the room to make tea, coffee or hot chocolate and they provided as water for free and even cookies.I strongly recommend this hotel!

2) Location - There cant be a better hotel than this....superb ! Perfect location - closer to the station. However, you will surely need to take a cab from the Metro to the Hotel (if carrying heavy luggage) 2nd option would be to climb around 108 steps towards the hotel (from the metro station). Taxi would not cost more than 4 Pounds from the train station.

It was very spacious - ideal for children. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Edinburgh. The staff went out of their way to assist us and were so helpful. I would thoroughly recommend St Giles Apartments and it is much better value than a hotel if you are travelling with children.
